Shona McIntyre is the founder of Senior Community Connections and a Senior Care Advisor with more than 18 years of experience in the senior care industry. As a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and a Master of Social Work (MSW), she has helped thousands of families navigate the often-overwhelming process of senior housing, guiding them to the best options for independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing.
Passionate about advocacy, Shona takes the time to understand each family’s unique story, recognizing that no two seniors are alike. She brings a personalized, compassionate approach to every family she serves, ensuring their loved ones receive the highest quality care in communities she would trust for her own family.
Under her leadership, Senior Community Connections has become a trusted resource in the St. Louis Metro area, partnering exclusively with top-tier senior living communities. She is dedicated to expanding awareness of senior placement services, making expert guidance more accessible, and ultimately redefining the senior care experience.
Abby Mahon
Abby Mahon brings a wealth of expertise and compassion to her work with seniors and their families. Armed with a degree in Gerontology, Abby’s professional journey has been fueled by her unwavering passion for serving seniors.
Having held numerous leadership roles in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living facilities early in her career, Abby gained firsthand insight into the myriad challenges that seniors and their families encounter as they navigate the complexities of aging. Motivated by a desire to make a meaningful difference, she pursued and obtained her certification as a care manager, enhancing her ability to provide comprehensive support tailored to each individual’s needs.
Abby has distinguished herself as a trusted advocate and ally for seniors and disabled clients. Assisting and empowering and their families with knowledge and resources to make informed decisions. Through her dedication and expertise, Abby ensures that her clients receive the highest level of care and support, fostering positive outcomes and enriching the lives of those she serves.
Jamie Soell
With over 15 years of experience in the senior living industry, Jamie Soell is a seasoned professional specializing in sales and marketing, business development, and connecting seniors and their families with valuable resources. Known for her expertise, compassion, and ability to address the unique challenges of aging, she is a trusted advisor to both colleagues and clients. Her passion lies in creating meaningful connections and solutions that enhance the quality of life for older adults while providing peace of mind for their loved ones.
As a Senior Advisor at Senior Community Connections, Jamie remains steadfast in her mission to empower seniors and their families, offering support and solutions that make navigating life transitions easier and more fulfilling. Jamie is deeply committed to continuing her work with seniors and their loved ones, ensuring they have access to the resources, care, and guidance they deserve.
Outside of work, Jamie enjoys spending time with her family. Married with three children-Her oldest Daughter, Nicole (27) is the Athletic Director at Rosati-Kain High School and is pursuing her master’s degree at Wash U. Her Son, LeRoy (14) excels at basketball, football and baseball and hopes to attend CBC in the fall. Her youngest daughter Palmer (10) aka “Boss of the Family” enjoys softball, basketball, soccer, horseback riding and choir. Jamie truly values the balance of personal life and professional dedication.
